Members Only Fishing Competition Boat Rules 13th Dec - 16th Jan

Kia Ora

The committee have finalised all the details to do with our Members Only Comp and we are very lucky to have some of our Hapuka Hunt Sponsors want to support us with this, we would like to thank:

Tyre General

Enterprise Cars

McKay Cartage Ltd

Puketiti Station

Eastland Group

Graham & Dobson Accountants

Kuru Contracting

Te Puka Hunting & Fishing Club

This competition is for both Beach and Boat, there is no entry free for our members who are paid in full with their fees.

We are going to run the comp from 13th December through to 1th January 2022.

What we will do is from the 13th Dec to 22nd December our members can (with as much notice as possible) ring anyone on the list below and they will come down and meet you in the tavern carpark by the club container. From the 23rd December (no weighing will be done on Xmas Day) until 9th January 2022 we will only be weighing in from 3.30pm – 5.00pm daily.

Then from 10th January 2022 until the comp closes on 16th January 2022, we will go back to our members ringing someone on the list.

For members fishing off boats, you can launch your boat from wherever you wish BUT if you have not launched from Awhina or Waima then you will have to either walk the fish up the Awhina Boat Ramp. We will not accept fish that have been driven to the weigh station from outside of the akau.

With regards the new "Traffic Light System" coming into effect on 3rd December, additional measures may have to be introduced and implemented. If this is the case we will be in touch with our members prior to this. We will not hold a prize giving, all winners will be notified and payments will be made to a nominated bank account.

As a committee we were upset that we could not hold our Hapuka Hunt but we still wanted to be able to do something for our members, this was the best and safest way we could think of.

If you have any questions please feel free to ring Megan Mckay on 0274 300 548
